Talks are to get under way at the Labour Relations Commission today over a row on staffing levels at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin.
Yesterday, nurses at the one of the busiest units in the hospital, St Clare's ward, agreed to suspend a lunch-time protest and a subsequent work-to-rule after progress was reported.
The action was to protest cutbacks in support staff by hospital management. The Irish Nurses' Organisation will begin talks on the issue with management today.
The night duty staffing level was restored yesterday - prompting the suspension of the action.
