Full marks for initiative go to one Dublin PR agency - and to one bike courier - who made sure Robbie Williams was no Cinderella on his recent trip to Dublin. Aware that Robbie was fond of Clarks shoes, a selection was ordered from the Grafton Street store to be brought round by courier to the PR office, there to be wrapped and delivered round to Robbie with compliments. An accident on the way, plus traffic delays, meant the courier arrived at the offices not at 1.p.m. but at 7.30 p.m. to be greeted by a rather fraught PR agent. "I know I'm late, missus but not to worry. Robbie says the shoes are great and don't worry about wrapping them. They're grand as they are," said the enterprising courier, who had gone straight to the Merrion Hotel and delivered the shoes personally.
