Berne - Swiss authorities have frozen nine million Swiss francs (£5 million) so far as they help Yugoslavia try to track down wealth believed stashed away by members of Mr Slobodan Milosevic's toppled government. But Swiss investigators have not come across any assets that the ousted Serb leader himself or his family may have put into Swiss accounts before he was brought down in a popular revolt in 1999, the Justice Ministry said in Berne.

Based on a new request for legal assistance from Belgrade, Swiss authorities have blocked more bank accounts and seized documents linked to former senior government officials who are accused of plundering state coffers for their personal gain.
