Shelbourne Chief Executive Ollie Byrne this afternoon said the club may delay making its much-anticipated statement on the "Paul Marney Affair" until tomorrow.
"At the moment," he said, "our legal people are in touch with the FAI, seeking clarification on a few things. As soon as we have that clarification we will release a statement. But that may be tomorrow".
Shelbourne last week claimed to have information that would have serious repercussions for the league, but they have so far refused to divulge any details.
St. Patrick's Athletic last week replaced Shelbourne at the top of the eircom League Premier Division after an independent arbitrator returned to them the nine points the FAI had deducted for fielding an ineligible player.
