A fire at a chapel in Co Derry this morning is being treated as a possible arson attack by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
The fire at St.John`s Roman Catholic Church on the Castledawson Road in Magherafelt was reported at 5.30.
It is understood that police officers managed to extinguish the fire before the fire service arrived.
A rear window of the chapel had been broken and what is believed to be flammable liquid poured to start the fire.
