Army bomb disposal experts carried out controlled explosions on two suspicious objects found in Dublin, gardaí said today.
The objects were discovered at a shop and a house in Hartstown in the west of the capital late last night.
Both were declared elaborate hoaxes. A controlled explosion was carried out on the first object, found at a home on Cherryfield Close, at about 11.30pm.
The second hoax device was discovered outside a shop at Parslickstown.
The area was cleared while specialists conducted another explosion. Officers declared the scene safe at about 4.30am.
