Gardaí have begun an investigation this afternoon following the discovery of a suspect device in Spitalfields, off Francis Street in Dublin.
The area was sealed off and people were evacuated from their homes after the device was found attached to the side of a vehicle parked in the area.
The Army's explosives ordnance disposal (EOD) unit was contacted and later declared the device to be safe.
Last month, a couple and five children escaped unharmed when a pipe bomb blew in the windows of their home in Spitalfields.
