A church leader has called on Ulster Unionists to support their party leader, Mr David Trimble, at Saturday's crucial Ulster Unionist Council meeting. The newly-elected president of the Methodist Church, Mr Ken Todd, who will take up his post in June, said the only way forward lay in working together.
"The evidence of the short-lived Executive did indicate that it is possible - as we know it is - for the people of Northern Ireland to work together and we hope that will be the outcome of Saturday's meeting," he said.
