A corporation worker was yesterday awarded damages for neck injuries received two years ago when a supervisor fell on him.
Mr Matthew McDonald, of Jamestown Avenue, Inchicore, was awarded £13,000 at Dublin Circuit Civil Court over the accident on March 21st, 1994.
Ms Gerardine Connolly BL said the assistant foreman, Mr Joseph Day, removed the staircase from a north Dublin house. He then found himself in the precarious position of being on the first floor without a ladder to get down. Mr Matthew McDonald said Mr Day fell on his shoulder after he had put up a timber to help him down.
