The North’s Public Prosecution Service (PPS) is to consider whether the two brothers who were the key witnesses in the UVF “supergrass” trial failed to honour their commitment to the police and PPS.
They are to examine whether brothers Robert and Ian Stewart “knowingly failed to give assistance” in the case against nine men, including leading loyalist Mark Haddock, who among a range of serious charges were accused of murdering UDA leader Tommy English.
