SDLP candidate in South Down, Ms Marietta Farrell, has urged the North's Chief Electoral Officer, Mr Pat Bradley, to address the "disenfranchisement" of student voters.
"Most students are registered at their family addresses yet spend term time living away from home. Many are in the middle of their exams and will not be home until after polling day. The timescale for applying for postal votes is totally unrealistic," she said.
The Democratic Left candidate in West Tyrone, Mr P.J. McClean, has urged voters to reject any party which plans to boycott the forum which will meet after negotiations begin on June 10th.
