Strike notice has been served at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan in a row over attendant staffing levels, and working hours in the catering department and ward servicing.
Seventy workers who are members of SIPTU are to strike for two days from next Tuesday, October 23rd and for three days the following week unless the dispute is settled.
A spokesperson for the North Eastern Health Board said the board was anxious to resolve the row and had written to the union. It was awaiting a response.
