British police are searching for three men who broke into storage units in Shepherds Bush Place, London, and who may have removed bomb-making equipment. They systematically went through 55 storage units before escaping with the equipment.
Mr Richard Fitzpatrick (24), who lives in Shepherds Bush Place, said IRA suspect Diarmuid O'Neill (27), who was shot dead during police dawn raids in west London and West Sussex in September, had worked across the road.
Cmdr John Grieve of Scotland Yard said: "There was sufficient evidence left at the scene for us to calculate that this was the IRA." The men raided the premises at about 5.40 p.m. on November 8th. The guard suffered shock and bruising but he is not in hospital. No firearms were seen and police do not know how the raiders left the premises.
