One of two elderly sisters at the centre of a long-running attempt to prevent the sale of a Co Dublin house for £400,000, estimated to be one-fifth of its present value, was back at the High Court yesterday. Ms Rose Blackhall (right) was seeking a stay on a court order, made earlier this month, for completion of the sale of the house.

She was told by Mr Justice Herbert that he could not act on a matter about which he knew nothing. He adjourned the case until Monday to permit her to produce an affidavit and a copy of the order against which she was seeking a stay.
