The first Irish Habitat Conservation Stamp programme was introduced in Dublin yesterday by the Minister for Arts Ms de Valera, who said the programme could save vital wildlife habitat, writes Sean MacConnell.
The programme involves the sale of conservation stamps and the proceeds go to wildlife conservation.
The stamp, based on a picture by Bangor-born Julian Friers of mallard ducks, costs £5 and is available from the NARGC office at 6 Sandford Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 6.
