London - The film-maker Steven Spielberg is to film an 11-hour second World War drama at an English home counties aerodrome which will be divided into 12 separate locations in war-time Europe.
The production Band Of Brothers has been won after long negotiations with the British government and is thought to be worth tens of millions of pounds for the British economy.
Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who starred in his film Saving Private Ryan, will be executive producers of the massive project, filming throughout next year. It is based on a best-selling book by Stephen Ambrose.
