Locals in Charleville, Co Cork were yesterday speculating as to the identity of the Lotto winner who scooped a jackpot worth €7,211,123 in Saturday’s draw.
The winning ticket was sold in Dick’s Newsagency on Main Street in Charleville on Saturday. The winning ticket was a €12 Quick Pick. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 26, 27, 39, 40 (bonus 24).
Owner of the store Dick Riordan said there was great excitement surrounding the win.
“We are absolutely thrilled. There was an agricultural show on yesterday, so we don’t know who it is. It could be anyone. All we know is that it was a Quick Pick.”
Cork has experienced considerable luck in the Lotto in recent weeks. Last weekend a €1 million Euromillions winning ticket was sold in Mallow.
That €6 Quick Pick ticket was bought in Foley’s Express Foodstores Ltd in Upper Beecher Street.
