Spanish police said they arrested two suspected members of Basque separatist group ETA today, both of whom figured on the 'most wanted' police list of ETA activists.
Oroitz Aldekoa-Otalora and Agurne Salterain could be linked to a bomb which exploded on Friday outside the headquarters of Spain's ruling Socialist party in the northern town of Derio, El Paisnewspaper reported. No one was wounded in the blast.
Security is extra tight at present in the run-up to parliamentary elections on March 9th.
Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba has said he believes ETA will try to kill before the March 9th election.
Yesterday ETA called for a boycott of the election in protest against what it called repression by the Spanish government.
