A truck driver was sent for trial by Arklow District Court yesterday charged with dangerous driving causing the deaths of five people.
Mr Victor Teggart (23), of Markethill, Co Armagh, was charged in connection with a fatal accident outside the town on September 14th last.
The truck he was driving was in collision with a school minibus. Five people were killed, including two children.
Mr Teggart's solicitor, Mr James O'Donohoe, said after the court that he would apply to have the trial transferred from Wicklow to Dublin in the interest of getting a fair trial for his client.
