Soldier's damages claim dismissed

The High Court has dismissed a former soldier's claim for damages against the Minister for Defence

The High Court has dismissed a former soldier's claim for damages against the Minister for Defence. Mr Justice Johnson dismissed the claim taken by Mr Michael Neary (45), of Corduff Avenue, Blanchardstown, who served with the Defence Forces from 1970 to 1982. Mr Neary had sued the Minister and State for damages for personal injury, loss and damage. Mr Justice Johnson found Mr Neary had not suffered noise-induced hearing loss.
