Pensioner killed following road traffic incident in Co Tipperary

Two people taken to University Hospital Limerick in wake of three-vehicle incident

A man in his 70s has died following following road traffic incident in Co Tipperary this afternoon.

The three-vehicle incident happened on the M7 at Birdhill at about 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.

The elderly man was fatally injured while two other people have been brought to University Hospital Limerick.

Emergency services remain at the scene, and diversions are in place.
