Six Irish climbers in two separate groups were today rescued from the upper slopes of Ben Nevis in Scotland.
The climbers had been forced to abandon their ascent to the summit yesterday because of poor weather conditions.
The climbers, who are experienced members of the Irish Mountaineering Club, had been forced to dig themselves in overnight.
They alerted rescue services in the early hours of this morning and were led down the mountain by ropes this afternoon.
