SIX children have been released from hospital after they were injured when two buses were stoned in Ardoyne, north Belfast. Several bricks were thrown at a Citybus on Westland Road on a school run on Wednesday.

Three boys and two girls, aged 11 to 14, suffered head injuries and cuts to their hands and legs. In another attack later that day, a 15 year old girl was injured in the face, shoulder and leg when a Citybus was stoned at the Ardoyne shops on the Crumlin Road.

Meanwhile, the RUC is investigating a fire which destroyed Muckery Orange Hall near Lurgan, Co Armagh, on Wednesday.
