The five men and one woman, ranging in ages from 25 to 35 years of age, are being questioned in connection with the murders of Paul Martin last August and Graham McNally in January of this year.

Graham McNally (34), Cappagh Avenue, Finglas, a member of a major Finglas drug gang once led by murdered drug dealer Martin “Marlo” Hyland, was shot several times in the head with a semi-automatic weapon on a cul-de-sac off the old Derry road at Coldwinters near Finglas on January 20th.

Mr Martin (39) was shot dead in the Jolly Toper pub on Church street in Finglas.

Two masked men armed with handguns entered the upstairs of the pub just outside Finglas village. Mr Martin had tried to flee, but his attackers went after him and pinned him down in the pub, discharging shots into his head and upper body.

The six arrested are being detained at Finglas, Cabra and Blanchardstown garda stations. Five are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, and one is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
