Pristina - Ethnic Albanians in Pristina protested peacefully against Serbian rule of the southern province of Kosovo yesterday for the 22nd consecutive day.

Some 2,000 ethnic Albanians held a silent demonstration in the capital of Kosovo, carrying no banners and refraining from chanting during the 30-minute march before dispersing peacefully as they have done every time since the first protest on April 10th.

The Kosovo Democratic League (LDK), the province's main political party, and 13 other groups have called for daily half-hour marches to support the push for independence by ethnic Albanians, who make up 90 per cent of the Kosovo population.
