Gardaí are investigating a shooting in south Dublin early this morning.
The incident took place at a house in Carrickmount Avenue, Rathfarnham, at 12.10am.
Gardaí said a red hatchback-type car pulled up outside the house and a passenger got out and fired a shot through the front window of the house.
The attackers fled, driving down Mountainview Park towards Nutgrove Shopping Centre.

The house was occupied at the time but nobody suffered any injuries.
A technical examination of the scene is being carried out.
