Sinn Fein councillor, Mr Pat McGeown, has been charged with obstructing police after he was arrested outside Conway Mill in west Belfast yesterday.
Two men with Mr McGeown were charged with obstructing police. One was also charged with resisting arrest and assault, an RUC spokesman said.
The men will appear in Belfast Magistrates Court later this month.
They claim they were assaulted by the RUC outside Conway Mill and that the arrests were part of an increasing campaign of harassment of party activists.
