Seven teenagers have been shot near a high school in the US, and two are in critical condition, police in Detroit said tonight.
Spokesman Rod Liggons said the victims were shot at a bus stop by gunmen who emerged from a green minivan.
Detroit public schools police chief Roderick Grimes said at least five students attending classes at Cody High School were shot. He said two were in a critical condition.
Grimes said two or possibly three gunmen asked for a person by name before opening fire on the crowd.
The shooting took place about a block away from the high school shortly after summer school classes had ended for the day.
