Three men were still being questioned by gardai and four by the RUC last night about the Omagh bombing that killed 29 people last August, writes Jim Cusack, Security Correspondent.
The three men held at Monaghan Garda station are from the Dundalk area and are being questioned about the theft and movement of the Cavalier car used in the bombing.
The four held by the RUC at Gough Barracks, Armagh, were being questioned about making the bomb and its movement from south Armagh to Omagh on the morning of August 15th.
Altogether 13 people, including two women, were arrested and questioned in a series of co-ordinated operations in the Dundalk and south Armagh area from Monday morning onwards. Six (including the women, who are married to two of the men arrested) had been released by yesterday afternoon.
