A memorial service will be held today for a Chinese student who was murdered last week in Bray, Co Wicklow.
Members of the Chinese community in Ireland as well as the woman's family and Bray residents will attend the service in the Holy Redeeemer Church in the town's Main Street at 10 a.m.
The body of Ms Wang Xiang Yi (21) was found last week close to some trees in an open parkland area at Woodbrook Glen in Bray in the early hours of Friday, July 4th. She had multiple stab wounds.
Her parents, as well as an uncle and aunt, travelled from China to Ireland last week, and she was cremated yesterday.
She had been studying English at a college in Dublin and living in the area for some time, not far from where her body was discovered.
Gardaí in Bray have appealed for a taxi-driver who drove two Chinese men in their early 20s from Blackrock to Tara Street station in Dublin between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. last Friday. The taxi was a people-carrier.
