HOBART - Over 5,000 mourners attended a memorial service yesterday at the site of last month's massacre of 35 people by a gunman.
Family and friends of the 35 victims joined local political, community and church leaders for the nationally televised, open air service in Port Arthur, in Australia's island state of Tasmania. A Tasmanian man, Mr Martin Bryant (28), from Hobart, has been charged with one of the murders and is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
