A picket was held yesterday outside the Dublin offices of solicitors employed by Cork Corporation in protest against its decision to pursue up to 6,000 householders for service charge arrears.
Letters demanding payment of arrears have been sent to 1,400 homes so far by Croskerry's Solicitors of Merrion Square.
A spokeswoman for the corporation said: "We will be pursuing more cases to ensure all money owed is paid."
