The son of serial killers Fred and Rosemary West was today jailed for nine months after admitting underage sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Stephen West (31), pictured right, committed the offences between October 2003 and May 2004 while living in Worcester.
The builder, of Stroud, Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty to seven counts of unlawful sexual intercourse at a hearing at Worcester Crown Court in October.
Judge Michael Mott West: "You had a terrible childhood and the tragedy is that you have done a great deal to live that down." "You have led a hard-working life, you have not got yourself into any trouble with the law." He said he did not believe that West had groomed the girl for sex.
Fred West committed suicide at in a Birmingham while serving ten life sentences. His wife Rosemary is still in prison serving life.
