Belgrade - The Serbian parliament overwhelmingly approved a reform government yesterday and Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic pledged a new era of peace and prosperity after the authoritarian rule of Slobodan Milosevic.
The top item on the agenda of the cabinet's first session will be the appointment of a state security chief to replace Rade Markovic, once a crucial ally of Milosevic who reportedly resigned earlier in the day.
Mr Djindjic told Beta news agency that his government would order investigations into Milosevic-era crime.
