A security alert is disrupting cross-border road and rail traffic between Dundalk and Newry. The disruption began last night after police in the North received a number of telephoned bomb warnings.
The railway line at Killeen Bridge, just south of Newry, has been closed. The main Dublin to Belfast road was also closed after a number of masked men hijacked a lorry and set it alight near Killeen.
Traffic diversions are in operation and train passengers are being ferried by bus.
