Former police informer Mr Billy Stobie (48), already awaiting trial for the murder of Belfast solicitor Mr Pat Finucane, is facing a second charge of murder.
Yesterday at Belfast Magistrates' Court he was charged with the murder of Mr Adam Lambert (19) on November 9th, 1987. Mr Lambert, a Protestant from Ballygawley, was shot dead by a solitary gunman as he worked on a landscaping project in Belfast's Highfield Estate. The magistrate, Mr Harry McKibben, remanded Mr Stobie in custody until May 31st, but later he was granted further bail in the High Court.
