Police investigating the shooting on Friday afternoon of a senior loyalist in Belfast have arrested a 31 year-old man in the Belfast area.
Forty-three year-old Robbert (Bobby) Moffett was shot in the face a number of times on the Shankill Road.
Mr Moffett, who was understood to be a member of the Red Hand Commando (RHC) terror group, was shot in front of dozens of people.
He was hit in the head a number of times at the junction of Shankill Road and Conway Street. Police said the murder was “ruthless and cold-blooded”.
Today's arrest was made in the Belfast area, police said.
It follows the arrest on Friday night of a 49 year-old man who was subsequently released unconditionally.
The murder was witnessed by a large number of people, including children, who were on the street during a busy lunchtime. The gunmen were last seen running in the direction of Conway Street. One witness said he thought there may have been a getaway car.
Mr Moffett was given emergency medical treatment on the road where he fell before being taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.
