Gardaí are continuing their search for a missing Cork man who was last seen leaving a party in Dublin over a week ago.
Damian O’Brien (37), originally from Clonakilty, Co Cork but with an address in Phibsboro, Dublin, was last seen on Friday, November 27th, near Percy Place, Haddington Road, at about 10.45pm.
Garda divers searched a stretch of the Grand Canal yesterday. They will resume the search tomorrow.
Mr O’Brien works as a development officer in Fáilte Ireland’s Dublin offices. His colleagues alerted gardaí after he failed to show up for work last Monday and missed a flight to London the following day.
Friends and colleagues spent the weekend distributing fliers and sticking up posters in Dublin city centre.
He is described as 5ft9in, of stocky build with short black hair and sallow complexion. He has a faded but noticeable scar on his forehead over his right eye. He was wearing a black blazer, denim jeans and bright pink scarf when last seen.
