The search is continuing for two Killarney teenagers, both aged 15, who disappeared from their homes last Monday night.

The two girls, Bryga Lewis and Serena Horgan, left their Killarney homes without notice and apparently made their way via Dublin to Belfast, where they took a ferry to Scotland.

The two girls, it seems, made elaborate plans to cover their tracks and have not been heard of since their disappearance.

Bryga Lewis has red hair, is 5ft 7in and has a thin build. Serena Horgan is 5ft 5in with blonde hair and also has a thin build.

The Garda said that no trace of them had yet been found but added yesterday that Scottish police and Interpol are involved in the effort to locate them and bring them home safely.

The girls used false identities to buy one-way ferry tickets from Larne to Stranraer in Scotland so as to avoid being easily detected.

Scottish police believe that they have the teenagers on film disembarking from the ferry at about midnight.
