A FINANCIAL director of St Michael’s College who is charged with stealing thousands of euro from the private Dublin 4 school’s bank account, was remanded on continuing bail yesterday.
Denis Connolly (55), St John’s, Park Avenue, Sandymount, Dublin, was arrested before Christmas. He had been a senior member of the board of trustees of the college on Ailesbury Road.
On December 10th last, he was charged with theft of €5,110 from the board of trustees account at AIB Sandymount on March 22nd, 2010. At his first court appearance, he was remanded on bail to appear yesterday pending the possibility of further charges. When told the accused had been unable to attend yesterday, Judge Cormac Dunne remanded him in his absence to appear again in April.
