The Department of Education has published 100 inspection reports comprising school evaluations and subject evaluation reports.
The reports are compiled following school visits by inspectors from the department.
The latest tranche brings to 4,945 the total number of reports on 2,001 schools and centres for education evaluated since February 2006.
Findings and recommendations are discussed with school management and teaching staff before undergoing a process of factual verification.
Each school is afforded an opportunity to respond to the report before publication. School responses are also published on the department's website.
Inspection reports examine how various subjects are taught in post-primary schools. They can take place within a whole school evaluation or as a stand-alone report.
The reports do not assess the performance of individual teachers.
