Frankie Dettori secured his 100th career Group One with a brilliant victory on Sakhee in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe-Lucien Barriere at Longchamp today.
Godolphin's four-year-old absolutely annihilated the cream of Europe's middle-distance horses with a supreme performance.
Always perfectly-placed despite his high draw, Sakhee pulled his away to the front more than two and a half furlongs from home.
From then on it was one-way traffic and the 9-4 favourite stormed clear of his rivals. The previously unbeaten French filly Aquarelliste (5-1) was second.
It was tight for third place with 50-1 outsider Sagacity edging out Kieren Fallon's mount Golan.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained Milan never played a hand in the race but ran on well enough to cross the line in fifth place.
