Ryanair plans to lower ticket prices by a further 5 per cent annually over the next five years, according to chief executive Mr Michael O'Leary.

"While many airlines are raising prices because they have problems with costs, we will further cut our average price from 49 euros," he told German daily newspaper Handelsblatt.

He said the airline will also raise its passenger numbers to 30 million next year, adding the airline would offer domestic flights within Germany in the next two or three years.
