Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery at a McDonald's restaurant just before 9 a.m. this morning in Dublin.
Three raiders wearing balaclavas entered the premises on the Malahide Road, Coolock, armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a sledgehammer.
They entered the cash office and escaped in a black car towards the Darndale area.
A Garda spokesman said the raiders escaped with a large quantity of cash. There were no shots fired and no one was hurt in the raid.
