Frank Rijkaard is to become manager of Barcelona following talks with the club's new management, reports in The Netherlands claim today.
The former Dutch international player and coach is expected to complete a deal with the Spanish club later today, Dutch news agency ANP reported.
Rijkaard will replace Radomir Antic.
Txiki Begiristain, Barcelona's new sporting director, confirmed the club would not be taking up the optional one-year extension on Antic's contract, despite the Serb guiding the side to a UEFA Cup place.
