Review of Ocean Colour Scene at Oxegen at the Heineken Green Spheres stage today
Atmosphere: It was one of the oldest crowds of the weekend as the Saturdays-goers cleared out to make room for the Ocean Colour Scene fans in the Heineken Green Spheres tent. They've still got the singalong factor, though going to see them at Oxegen feels a bit like time travelling back to Witnness, when pop music was at home in the Point and indie rock was flavour of the festival.
High: The Day We Caught The Train went down well with the all-singing, all-clapping crowd.
Low: Feeling old. We can only imagine how the band feels.
Quote: "He's quite cute, isn't he?!" That's how you know you're in a different demographic to the Ke$ha lovers across the field.
Overall: A solid set from a solid bad whose roots lie firmly in a past generation.
Stars: 4 out of 5
