Gardaí in Swords, Co Dublin, have renewing their appeal for information following a fatal stabbing on December 12th.

A car has been seized and two apartments have been sealed off by gardaí investigating the death of a Polish man in Dublin at the weekend. Bartlomiej Urbaniak (29) died from stab wounds he sustained in an incident in Fairview in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Gardaí particularly wish to speak to the drivers and occupants of a number of taxis: one that travelled from the Wright Venue to Richmond Road between 2.45am and 3.30am on Sunday, and another taxi that picked up two females and a male on Booterstown Avenue at approximately 3am on Sunday. It then dropped off one of the females at Kirwan Street and continued on to St. Aidan's Park via Richmond Road where the remaining female and male got out.

Mr Urbaniak had been working in Ireland for a number of years. He had been living in Naas, Co Kildare, but was visiting friends in Dublin at the weekend.

Mr Urbaniak arrived at the Rotunda Hospital, at about 4am, with stab wounds. He was transferred to the Mater hospital but despite emergency treatment, he died there at 4pm on Sunday.
