The leader of a botched raid in which a shotgun was fired at a Securicor van has been jailed for six years.
Michael Caswell (28), of Allenton Park, Tallaght pleaded guilty to attempted robbery outside the Bank of Ireland, Deansgrange, Dublin and having a firearm with intent to endanger life on January 12th, 1994.
Judge Joseph Mathews, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, suspended the final six months of the sentence.
