The quality of family life will be addressed in a conference which will take place in St Mary's College Hall in Rathmines, Dublin, later this year.

Dublin priest, Father Tony Byrne says the course, Harmony In The Home, will explore means of reconciling new models of home life with the traditional Irish model.

The course will run on Tuesday evenings from September 18th to October 16th and will be addressed by among others, Mr John Lonergan, governor of Mountjoy Prison and Ms Marie Murray, clinical psychologist at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin and the University of Limerick.

It will explore issues like conflict in the home and how teenagers, and parents can live together.
