THE Progressive Democrats leader, Ms Mary Harney, has called on the Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, to publish the documentation which formed the basis of the report on hepatitis C infected Anti D.
In a statement she said revelations in the High Court had suggested to many victims that the State might have been involved in an elaborate cover up.
Ms Harney said the only way to allay fears was for the Government to publish all the documentation which formed the basis of the report of the Expert Group appointed to investigate how 1,000 women were given the infected Anti-D.
The latest controversy centred on a revelation in the High Court that the Blood Transfusion Board knew that a donor to the Anti-D plasma pool in 1976-77 had been clinically diagnosed as having infectious hepatitis in 1976, she said.
